AWS Cloud / Platform Engineer (m/f/d)

Your position in our team

  • Take responsibility for our DevOps setup and tech stack (Kubernetes on AWS)
  • Build on existing structures and processes and implement and ensure compliance with the AWS Well-Architected Framework
  • Be constituting part of the SPA SecOps Team and assist/support DevOps Engineers that utilize your cloud platform for their application development to drive unified DevOps standards, concepts and policies related to best practices, technology trends and cyber threats across the group
  • Ensure that your colleagues in software engineering can work as efficiently as possible and continuously deliver code without delays, taking high security requirements into account
  • Create a general awareness of security in the context of successful software development with your work and be the go-to person for such concerns

Your profile

  • Several years of professional experience in the development of software in a modern programming language (preferably Java) and/or in the area of infrastructure-as-code
  • Experience in the responsibility for and implementation of the entire DevOps lifecycle from the requirements phase, to deployment and ongoing operation (you build it, you run it)
  • Solid knowledge and as much overlap as possible with our tech stack and tools (including Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Java/Kotlin, Maven, GitHub Actions, DataDog) as well as with various AWS services (VPC, ELB, RDS, CloudFront, EKS, OpenSearch, EC2, Organizations)
  • A penchant for stakeholder management as well as concise communication on a technical and business level to explain and justify strategic and technical measures and their impact on our platform
  • Interest in relentless customer-focused delivery in an international and multicultural environment as well as strong communication skills in English
